This movie combines many genres in one plot from science fiction to thriller, from action to dystopia and the way all of it has been combined in one single story is quite marvelous. The movie is based on a novel that goes by the same name as the movie, written by James Dashner and it is the second installment in the famous book series of Maze Runner. The director of this movie which is Wese Ball has performed an amazing job with handling all the special effects and brining this amazing story to life. The story of this movie begins right from where the first movie ended. The leading character Thomas (played by O’Brien) and his companions break free from the maze and as soon as they get out of from there, they find themselves in a world filled with a deadly virus but soon, they realize that all of that is a hoax.
